Advanced Configuration

avast! SharePoint Server Edition is easily deployable and works perfectly even on large datacenter servers and cluster servers. The scanning engine was designed with two basic goals in mind: performance and stability. It can  use multiple CPUs (via unlimited multithreading), fully leveraging the potential of today's advanced server hardware. It also supports memory scanning (including the decompression of files /zipped files), resulting in an unrivaled scanning speed and robustness.

Alerting & logging

As with any server-side software, it is very important to provide effective monitoring methods. For this reason, avast! offers a wide range of possibilities. These include notifications via e-mail and avast's built-in Notification Manager (which also supports a number of other transport protocols), rich logging features, and performance counters.

Automatic updates

The SharePoint Server Edition uses the same updating modules as avast! Server Edition itself, resulting in unparalled speed and size of updates. The updates can be installed automatically by the operating system, or manually. It is also possible to set the system up so that the operating system asks the administrator before installing any updates.
